Drake is headed back to the screen, although this time, he's behind the scenes. On Thursday (Sept. 27), the Scorpion rapper shared the trailer for the new film Monsters and Men, which he executive produced, ET Canada reports.

"I’m excited and honored to be a part of such an important film," Drake tweeted ahead of the movie's official release date. "I can’t wait for everyone to experience it."

Directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, Monsters and Men is a drama that deals with police brutality and gun violence.  Set in Brooklyn, tensions rise in the neighborhood when a young man records a police officer shoot a Black motorist. The film stars John David Washington, Rob Morgan and more and currently holds a 80 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

In related Drake news, the rapper was recently forced to postpone two shows in Miami after coming down with an illness but was back on the road for his Sept. 24 show in New Orleans. During the Aubrey and The Three Migos tour stop, Drizzy brought out bounce music veteran Big Freedia and City Girls' Yung Miami.

Drake got some help from Freedia as the two performed "Nice for What," and also got some assistance from Yung Miami who helped the rapper with "In My Feelings." Both of the artists appear on the respective songs.

Drizzy and Migos' Aubrey and The Three Migos trek will continue through Nov. 17 where it wraps up in Atlanta.
