Watermain Breaks In Flint Causing Road Closures, Sinkholes And Neighborhood Flooding [Video]

After the rough winter, Flint has been experiencing multiple watermain breaks that have caused everything from closed roads to sinkholes.

The Genesee County Drain Commissioner's Office has closed multiple lanes on Linden Rd just south of Beecher Rd in Flint Township.  The watermain break in that area will keep the lane closures in effect for approximately one week.  There will be two northbound lanes and one southbound lane open during the repair work, so travelers can expect some long delays.

On the North end of Flint, watermain breaks have caused a sinkhole to start forming in the middle of Burgess Street.  Residents are being advised to keep away from the area until the road commission can start to repair it.  If you have any questions please call (810)-767-4920.
