The third year of the Michigan Food, Beer and Wine Fest is going to be the best one yet and happens this Saturday (November 8th) at the new Flint Farmer's Market!

Last year's MIFBWF attracted nearly 1,400 attendees and a great time was had by all. This year should be even better and gives the few people that already haven't done so you a great excuse to experience the brand new Flint Farmers' Market in Downtown Flint.

Country Smoke House will once again be on hand providing a variety of delicious foods, including their incredible homemade sausage and jerky. Other Michigan-based food vendors that will be at the festival include Bagels and Beans, Beruit Restaurant, Bongo’s Popcorn ,Chocolates Galore, Forte, Porters Orchard, Jenna Marie Gourmet Chocolate covered bacon, Mexico at the Market, Semi-Sweets, Soozie Q’s, Sweet Peaces Vegan Café and Tasty Layers.

In addition to the beautiful new venue, 2014's outing will boast several new Michigan breweries to the festival including Bell's Brewery of Kalamazoo, Cellar Brewing Company of Sparta, Kuhnhenn Brewing Company of Warren and Latitude 42 Brewing of Portage in addition to returning favorites like Dark Horse, Founder's, Arcadia and many more. There will be over 100 Michigan brewed beers for you to try!

New wineries to the festival include Blackstar Farms Vineyard, Brengman Brothers, Chateau Grand Traverse and Good Harbor Vineyards all from Traverse City, along with Dizzy Daisy Winery & Vineyard of Bad Axe. There will be several favorite Michigan wineries and vineyards returning this year as well, collectively offering over 70 different varieties of Michigan wine for your sampling delight.

Not only will the Michigan Food, Beer and Wine Fest offer all of the things you'd expect from the title, but they will all be enjoyed by attendees in a relaxed environment. The grounds of the Farmer's Market will look more like a park and will be covered with sod being brought in special for this event. There will also be live music from Justin Rose, special guests from the Whiting Auditorium and Duffy Connoly, a free photo booth, lawn games and more.

Tickets for the Michigan Food, Beer and Wine Fest are $20 in advance ($24 at the door) and each ticket includes10 sample tickets and a commemorative glass for samples.

The fest runs from 5p -10p and is a great, relaxing way to spend a Saturday evening. We'll see you at the Flint Farmers' Market this Saturday for the 2014 Michigan Food Beer and Wine Fest!
