YBN Cordae, whom we've called the YBN crew's secret weapon, is becoming less of a secret by the day. In the Maryland native's latest big move, Cordae hit the studio with the legend himself, Dr. Dre.

Aftermath A&R Justin Pinder posted a photo on Saturday (Aug. 25) on Twitter of Cordae and Dre seated behind a mixing console. The previous day, Ty Cannon, the head of A&R at Dre's record label, also shared on Twitter a photo of Cordae with the caption, "Sharing stories with @ybncordae Learned a lot from him."

It's unclear what came of Cordae's meetings with Aftermath, whose roster currently includes Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Anderson .Paak, Jon Connor and Justus. The YBN collective hasn't shied from signing major deals, though. Breakout star YBN Nahmir inked a contract earlier this year with Atlantic Records.

The photos of Cordae with Dre emerged in the wake of his latest single, "Scottie Pippen," whose Cole Bennett-directed video hit YouTube on Thursday (Aug. 24). The song was co-produced by longtime Kanye collaborator Mike Dean, also the executive producer of Travis Scott's Astroworld.

YBN plans to drop a collective project on Sept. 7, according to Nahmir. He, Cordae and YBN Almighty Jay are also touring Europe together this fall, kicking off on Sept. 19 in Belgium.

Dre, meanwhile, has reportedly been bunkered in the studio mixing Anderson .Paak's Aftermath debut, according to a photo and caption Cannon posted on Twitter in July. The "Bubblin" singer has said he plans to drop two full-lengths this year.
