Looks like Young Thug has a new mixtape on the way. Today (July 9) Thugger took to Instagram to preview a snippet that's apparently off the upcoming tape called Jeffery. You can hear that above. TM88 says he's executive producing the tape.

Earlier this year Thugger also announced I Came From Nothing 4 on SnapChat as well, but we're yet to hear anything from it or about it. He has, however, dropped a couple recent singles, including the excellent "Texas Love" and "Gangsta Shit," as well as "Turn Up" and his track with Travis Scott and Quavo "Pick Up the Phone."

The Hy!£UN35 album is also supposed to be coming this year, but for some reason it just doesn't feel that way. I'm Up and Slime Season 3, two projects Thug dropped earlier this year, were received well by the public, but after the monstrous success of "Lifestyle" with Rich Homie Quan a couple years back, he needs another song on that level to return to that type of popularity with a larger audience. "Best Friend," which recently went platinum, is the closest he's come so far, but he needs something even bigger.

Perhaps it has something to do with the amount of time and care he puts into each track. Thugger has a notorious penchant for recording new music non-stop, and Lyor Cohen, head of the label Thug is signed to, recently yelled at him for treating his songs like "orphans."
