So far, the month of July has brought us some great new music. From Dreamville's Revenge of the Dreamers III, to Nas' The Lost Tapes 2 to 2019 XXL Freshman YBN Cordae's The Lost Boy to Chance The Rapper's The Big Day, July was full of hot releases. Although we are a month away from the official end of summer, there's still a lot more heat dropping in August.

On Aug. 2, Lil Durk will put out his latest project Love Songs 4 the Streets 2, the sequel to his 2017 mixtape. The same day, Detroit producer and rapper Black Milk will release a new EP called Dive. The collection follows his studio full-length album Fever, which he dropped in April 2018. Then, on the following week, Rick Ross will deliver his long-awaited Port of Miami 2 project on Aug. 9. The LP is the sequel to his 2006 debut album, Port of Miami.

Speaking on his new LP earlier this week, Rozay indicated that he'd reached out to both Weezy and Pusha-T about hopping on a song for his new album. While it's unclear whether the track, which will be titled "Maybach Music VI," will end up on the album, the idea of two rival artists sharing a track after at least five years of beef is sure to spark some interesting conversations. That's just a small part of the stories attached to big-time releases next month.

Of course, there are other projects set to drop next month, and as is always the case, XXL will keep track of all the latest releases as they pile up toward the summer's very end.
