Days after the horrific mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, Big Sean has joined a lengthy list of rappers who've come forth to speak on the tragedy. Using his social media accounts, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper uploaded a video of himself offering a message of hope and perseverance for everyone affected by both the horrific shooting and natural disasters like Hurricane Maria.

Sean begins the video by revealing that he's got a brother, a sister, a niece and two nephews that live in Las Vegas. "I don't know what I would've done if something happened along the lines [of] what happened the night before last," he says in the video while also noting that he's set to return to Vegas in a few days.

“My heart goes out to the families, to the people who are just in pain,” he continues. “I feel like the whole world is in pain right now, from our world leaders to the natural disasters, the hurricanes, Puerto Rico... tornadoes... the crime.”

Despite a steady stream of tragedy, Big Sean encourages people to care about one another, while discouraging them from succumbing to their doubts. "I just wanna remind people, in times like these, not to give up on themselves, not to give up on humanity. Only way we gon' get through this is rising above and doing it out of love," he says.
