Congratulations to Britney Spears and Cher Lloyd! The 'Work Bitch' and 'Want U Back' singers have been named the new ambassador for VH1's Save the Music Foundation.

The foundation seeks to preserve and create music education in schools. It's a cause that's likely close to Spears' heart, not only because she experienced massive success as a teen, but also because she was a solid mentor on 'X Factor
' and is a doting mom to two school-age boys. Lloyd achieved fame and success as a teen as well, also on 'X Factor,' and likely wants to pay that forward.

Rolling Stone reports that Spears will lead the 2014 class of ambassadors, which aside from Lloyd also includes country crooner Hunter Hayes, actor Taye Diggs, and singer-songwriter Diane Birch. Prior ambassadors include Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry, so the ladies are in great company!

The news comes on the heels of Spears' eighth studio album, 'Britney Jean,' due Nov. 29, as well as preceding her Las Vegas residency, set to kick off on Dec. 27.

Congrats to Lloyd and Spears on the honor -- we bet they'll do a great job!
