BET will begin airing its anticipated six-part documentary, Death Row Chronicles, about the infamous record label in February.

As previously reported, the documentary will delve into the ins and outs of the label's happenings, offer never-before-seen footage and will feature an interview with someone who witnessed the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas.

Produced by Entertainment One (eOne) and Creature Films, Death Row Chronicles is described as "part true-crime murder mystery and part hip-hop drama," and the hour-long episodes will feature an array of interviews with both artists and other individuals that were close to the Death Row camp. Kurupt, Michel'le, members of Suge Knight's security detail, and Ruthless Records A&R Gary Ballen are among some of the people who show up in the series.

With the release of A&E's Who Killed Tupac?, the Tupac biopic, All Eyez On Me (criticism aside), HBO's The Defiant Ones, which focused on Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, and another series in the works about Pac and Biggie's deaths for USA Network, UnsolvedDeath Row is obviously in the spotlight for the past couple of years. Specifically, people want to rehash the explosive history and maybe glean more insight into the murder of hip-hop's most beloved figures—2 Pac. It'll be interesting to see what BET unveils.

Part one and two of Death Row Chronicles will debut on Tuesday, February 20 at 10 p.m. ET. on BET.
