So as you gather a ton of pictures to document Summer 2021, why not win a little cash along the way. Yep, those selfies from the rooftop in Detroit, the adorable deer and her fawn on their early morning walk, and your favorite photos of the kids running down the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes can actually score you some prize money.

For the 15th consecutive year, The Detroit News wants Michigander's to take part in The Detroit News’ Celebrate Michigan Photo Contest. The contest rewards those outstanding photos of Michigan, its people, places, and animals.

The contest is currently running through August 20th and will include three themes; People and Places, Woods and Wildlife and Four-Season Fun. There will be nine prizes of as much as $300 haded out at the end of the summer.

It's easy to enter, and you can enter as often you like. The only rules are you must have been the photographer, you can not a professional photographer, and the photo you submit can not have be selected as a Celebrate Michigan finalist in previous years.

Judges from the Detroit News photo staff selects four finalists each week, and at the end  of the contest one winner will be selected in each category. Your friends and family and also help you win the People's Choice Award by voting online.
