As this current season winds down for the Tigers, the team is already looking forward to next year as the full schedule and now spring training schedule is out for the Tigers.

According to the Tigers,  their spring training schedule will begin with their annual college scrimmage.  This year the game will be against Southeastern University on February 21st.

The first home game for spring will be in Lakeland on February 22nd against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Home game highlights for the spring include games against the Astros on February 24th, the Yankees March 1st, 5th and 17th and Red Sox on March 2nd.

The Tigers will play all of their spring home games at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida.

Other teams you will see in Lakeland through out the spring include, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York Mets, Miami, Minnesota, Atlanta and Washington.

Spring training this year will wrap up on March 24th.   The Tigers begin their season on March 26th in Cleveland.   The home opener at Comerica Park will be on March 30th against the Kansas City Royals.
