A recent appearance from Desus and Mero on The Breakfast Club got heated when co-host DJ Envy called out the comedians for a joke they made about his wife on their show Desus & Mero.

During their appearance on the Power 105 show, Desus and Mero didn't event get a chance to say "Good morning" before Envy was calling them "dickhead" and "pussy." While the two laughed it off, Envy didn't find anything funny.

"We're gonna start with this: you owe my wife an apology," the DJ said. When Desus and Mero asked what they did wrong, Envy said the two insinuated his wife, Gia Casey, "was there for the check."

After the clip was replayed in the studio, Desus and Mero stood by their joke but offered an apology and said they would never joke about DJ Envy again. "That's a little disrespectful," Envy said. "You can talk about me all you want, make fun of me all you want, but when it's wife and kids, there is no but."

Following some back and forth and then a change of subject, Envy eventually got out of his seat and walked off the show. After the incident, Envy spoke with TMZ and said he wanted to address the issue publicly.

Fortunately, the DJ says there is no problem or beef between them and the two will be invited on the show again. "I wanted it to be known that this was serious. It wasn't staged. It wasn't a joke. This was something that was true to my heart," Envy said.

Last year, the Power 105 host found himself in the headlines when screenshots of a racy Snapchat conversation allegedly between him and an unnamed person began circulating on the internet.

The Just a Kid From Queens artist quickly addressed the images, calling them fake. "I don't know where [the messages] came from," he said on The Breakfast Club. "Whoever it was has been chasing all the reputable blogs, [and] nobody posted it. And I guess they found one that has."
