Drake is among a bevy of rappers who will be vying for a win at the 2014 Grammy Awards this Sun., Jan. 26. The Toronto rapper knows what it’s like to win a golden gramophone after nabbing one for Best Rap album (for 'Take Care') in 2013. However, he says that winning a Grammy doesn’t make or break him as an artist.

"To be recognized in any capacity for the music that we make is great, (but) I don't think the Grammys make or break any artist," he tells CTV News. "I don't think anybody should live or die by the Grammys -- that's my opinion. I think it's a great organization and obviously (has a) deep-rooted history in music, but at the same time, if I go home with no Grammys I still feel great about what we did."

For the 2014 Grammy Awards, Drake is up for five nominations including Best Rap Performance for 'Started From the Bottom' and Best Rap Album for ‘Nothing Was the Same.’

Fellow rappers Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore both nabbed seven mentions apiece including nods in the Album of the Year category for 'good kid, m.A.A.d city' and 'The Heist,' respectively.

We're quite sure that all of these artists would love to take home some hardware on music’s biggest night.

CBS will air the 56th Annual Grammy Awards live from Los Angeles’ Staples Center at 8PM ET.
