Draymond Green returned home to Saginaw Wednesday, and the Trojan faithful were there to help him celebrate his jersey retirement.

'Day-Day' led the Trojans to a state championship in 2008 and this season he has racked up honors like, Big Ten Player of the Year, first team All American by the Associated Press and added to the John Wooden All American Team.

Draymond kept his message simple to the audience, don't settle for average!  He explained that you should always reach for greatness in everything that you do.

Green will graduate from MSU this May with academic honors, and is preparing for the NBA draft.  Last month Tom Izzo said it's likely the Spartans will retire his number 23 jersey.
