Earlier this month, Eminem caused a minor controversy when some concertgoers criticized the rapper for using what they believed were realistic gunshots during his show at the 2018 Bonnaroo Festival. Now, Shady is firing back at his critics and shared a message at his latest concert calling them out.

Performing at the 2018 Firefly Festival in Delaware on Saturday (June 16), a message shown on screen before the rapper took the stage stated that if fans were easily frightened by loud noises, they should leave. "If you are easily frightened by loud noises or offended by explicit lyrics you shouldn't be here," the message read.

A photo of the message was shared by Em's manager, Paul Rosenberg, on Instagram, who previously defended the Detroit MC against what he said were false reports about gunshot sound effects.

According to Rosenberg, Shady doesn't use gunshot effects during his shows and the sound people heard was the result of pyrotechnics. “Contrary to inaccurate reports, @Eminem does not use gunshot sound effects during his live show," he wrote.

"The effect used by Eminem in his set at @bonnaroo was a pyrotechnic concussion which creates a loud boom," he continued. "He has used this effect — as have hundreds other artists — in his live show for over 10 years, including previous US festival dates in 2018 without complaint.”
