Last week, Geto Boys rapper Bushwick Bill revealed that he has stage four pancreatic cancer. In the wake of that unfortunate news, the Geto Boys have announced that they will reunite for a short series of shows this month.

In a statement posted on the Geto Boys’ official website on Wednesday (May 8), the rap trio (Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick) confirmed the tour, which they have called The Beginning of a Long Goodbye: The Final Farewell. The four-city trek kicks off in Pontiac, Mich., on May 24 and will hit Cleveland, Ohio on May 25, Washington, D.C. on May 29 and New York on May 30.

Tickets are currently available at Ticketmaster.com. A portion of the proceeds will support pancreatic cancer awareness.

In a May 1 video interview with TMZ, Bushwick Bill, whose real name is Richard Stephen Shaw, said he found out about his cancer diagnosis in early February after doctors discovered a mass growing on his pancreas. The Geto Boys member said the doctors don't believe that the tumor was caused by any disease, alcohol or illegal substance.

"It was just crazy to find out that Pancreatic cancer isn't detected until it's in the fourth or fifth stage," Bushwick told the outlet. "I've been keeping it to myself but I'm getting ready to tell Scarface, Willie D and I've only told close family members."
