Today, Oct. 11, marks birthday of Bronx MC Cardi B, who now turns 26.

Born Belcalis Almanzar, Cardi has lived through the ultimate come up. Fans first caught a glimpse of Bardi in the world of social media, where she would post hilarious videos onto her Instagram account. Her social media antics eventually led to her being casted on the sixth season of Love & Hip-Hop: New York.

"I get my strength because I want the money and my fans. They constantly are asking me for music. I can’t give up," Cardi B told XXL back in May 2017. Luckily for Bardi Gang, the vivacious spitter hasn't gone back on her word. After the release of Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 2, Cardi turned heads with her "Lick" video (featuring her boyfriend, Migos' Offset), before dropping the biggest single of her career to date—"Bodak Yellow."

Cardi B's name has been ringing bells after becoming the second solo female rap artist to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for "Bodak Yellow"—even Janet Jackson was digging the country's top single.

After marrying Offset in secrecy last fall, Bardi bided her time as she prepped her debut album, which would eventually be titled Invasion of Privacy. Released in April 2018, the project immediately proved to be a stunning success, moving 295,000 equivalent album units in its first week while debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

Having just released a successful debut LP, Bardi continued her winning ways by taking the stage at the 2018 Coachella Music Festival.

A couple months later, in July 2018, Bardi and Offset welcomed their first child, Kulture Kiari Cephus. While Cardi B hasn't shown off pictures of Baby Kulture to the world, she's occasionally uploaded videos of herself speaking on the love she feels for her daughter.

Though Cardi took a break from performing, her music continued to do some serious work. In July, she earned her second No. 1 single when her Invasion of Privacy track, "I Like It," secured the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Last month, Cardi's appearance on Maroon 5's "Girls Like You" became her third song to top the chart, making her the first-ever female rapper to have three songs to land at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Needless to say, Cardi is winning big.

Happy birthday, Cardi B!
