High Dollar Marijuana Legalization Fundraiser Held This Week in Flint

MILegalize, the group most likely to legalize a full-scale cannabis industry in Michigan in 2016, is hosting a fundraiser this week right here in Flint. On Friday, the group is having a dinner to raise cash for the second phase of the campaign to bring legal weed to the state.

As it stands, MILegalize has until the end of December to collect the 253,000 signatures needed to earn a spot on the ballot in the next presidential election. The group is working to collect as much money as possible during the month of October because an anonymous donor has agreed to match the contributions up to $100,000.

The fundraiser is October 16 at the Flint Golf Club. However, anyone interested in joining in the fun will need to come up with at least $1,000 before they will even let you in the door.
