Michigan Man Left Winning $4 Million Lottery Ticket In A Drawer For 3 Months
An 59 year old Oakland County man's forgetfulness nearly cost him a life-changing lottery prize.
The lucky winner, who chose to remain anonymous, purchased a Millionaire's Club instant game at the Marathon gas station on West Walton Boulevard in Waterford back in the winter.

The man said he knew he had a winning ticket but had no clue it was worth that much.
He kept the ticket in a drawer with other winning tickets that he'd redeem later when he needed some quick cash.
Fast forward 3 months, he remembered the winning ticket was still in the drawer so he took it to a gas station to find out how much it was worth.
Turns out it was worth a lot!

The winning ticket was worth $4 Million and after taking the lump sum cash option he walked away with $2.7 Million.

He plans to invest his newfound fortune and use some to start a new company.
I'm happy the guy won so much money, but I can't imagine having a lottery ticket that I knew was a winner and waiting so long to find out how much I had won.
