If you thought that big bundle of cold and flue medicine from Costco's Kirkland brand, you may want to check the CPU numbers on those bottles, as they could be apart of a massive recall that the massive retailer just announced.
On January 2, 2025, a recall was issued for Kirkland Signature Severe Cold & Flu medications (day and nighttime) with item number 1729556. These products were sold between October 30 and November 30, 2024, at certain locations.
The recall, which was initiated "out of an abundance of caution," was due to potential contamination with foreign material. This issue came up after a shipment with lot code P140082 was accidentally released by the supplier, LNK International Inc. What To Do If You Bought The Affected Products
You should verify the lot number, then stop using the product immediately. You are advised to either throw the product out, or return it to Costco for a refund.
