Michigan has many sites across the state that are known for being a little bit on the paranormal side, especially around Halloween time. There’s a lot of history in the state of Michigan and many things that happened in the state's past may still lurk in the early morning fog or the late night dark to haunt us from time to time.

Recently family destination guide wrote an article that claimed that there is one Michigan town that is rumored to be haunted by the spirits from the 19th century. As someone who has been to this site, I can vouch for them saying that there is definitely an eerie feeling when you get there, that stays with you until you leave.

Anybody who has ever had the pleasure of going to Mackinac Island knows how special it is and how important it was in Michigan’s early years. Maybe it’s the fact that there are no cars allowed on the island, or that everything feels like it is old world, but the creepy feeling stays with you, as they talk about in their article:

For those with a taste for the supernatural, embarking on a nighttime ghost tour can be a spine-tingling adventure. Historic buildings, each with their own dark secrets, loom ominously in the background as you stroll past. The old inn where guests reportedly hear phantom footsteps, the abandoned house with lights that flicker inexplicably—each site adds a new chill to the night.

Have you ever had any strange or unusual experiences at Mackinac Island? If so, you may not be alone.
