“You’ve got one shot…someone’s visiting Michigan for the first time. You can only take them to ONE place. Where are you going first?”

As you can imagine, the answers were all over the place. When you really think about it, Michigan has a lot to offer, so picking just one spot isn’t easy.

For some people, though, it was an instant answer.

Top Places To Visit In Michigan For First-Time Visitors

Some went with the obvious go-to Michigan spots, others got a little more personal, and a few of you clearly just wanted to be funny.

We pulled together some of the most popular answers below, but honestly, there were a ton of great ones that didn’t even make the cut.

A few spots kept coming up that aren’t included here, but they’re still definitely worth mentioning.

Places like:

  • Caseville
  • Alpena and shipwreck tours
  • Sault Ste. Marie
  • The pier in Tawas City
  • Presque Isle Park black rocks

All awesome places to visit, they just weren’t mentioned as much.

And yeah…a couple of people said things like “the airport” or “turn around,” which didn’t exactly help, but it still made us laugh.
