This Michigan Restaurant Chain Just Lost Its Liquor License
One Michigan restaurant chain has found itself in a rather sticky situation after having its liquor license suspended. This happened just a week after they shut down their Ferndale location.
Last week, we told you about a Michigan restaurant chain that’s losing locations like crazy. They shut down their Corktown spot back in March, Wyandotte closed in January, Ypsilanti called it quits last October, Clinton Township threw in the towel in August, Grand Rapids gave up in December, and just last week, the Ferndale location abruptly closed.

The Ferndale location announced last week that they’d be closing at 10 p.m. on June 2, or whenever they ran out of food, whichever came first. By around 3 p.m., the food was gone. But they kept the party going, still slinging cocktails for the rest of the night.
The next day, it turned into a bit of a free-for-all. They started selling off tables, chairs, glassware, and pretty much anything people were willing to take.
Once Popular Restaurant Chain is Down to One Location
After last week’s closure, the only Bobcat Bonnie’s location that remained was the one in Lansing. And now that location’s future is up in the air.
According to the Lansing State Journal, the Michigan Liquor Control Commission pulled the liquor license for the Lansing Bobcat Bonnie’s on June 9. Apparently, the owner didn’t pay a $450 fine for bounced payments on booze that the restaurant had already received from the state.

Turns out, the owner also owes over $1.3 million in tax liens and is also facing accusations of writing bad checks to employees.
While it’s still unclear if the restaurant is closing for good, if the closures over the past year are any indication, things aren’t looking great.
