Finally, after three years, the CP Holiday Train will once again pass through Detroit.

Another level of normalcy will be returning to Detroit after the COVID-19 pandemic. The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will once again embark on its cross-continent tour. The trip has been canceled for three years due to the pandemic.

The only downside to the train's trip through the Mitten is that it will not be stopping in Detroit. Those wishing to see the train will have to do just that as it rolls through Melvindale, Allen Park, Taylor, and Romulus on its way to Chicago.

The train will host an event in Windsor, Ontario, Canada at 6 pm on Thursday, December 1st, 2022. When that event wraps up around 6:30 pm, the train will embark on its journey through Michigan and host another event in Chicago.

"We are very pleased to be resuming our CP Holiday Train program raising money, food and awareness for local food banks in communities along the CP network...The train, decorated in Christmas lights, puts on free shows with live music, but "we encourage all those who attend to make a generous donation if they’re able...said CP media relations manager Andy Cummings, via Detroit Free Press.

If you are looking to see the train, apparently one of the best spots to view it is in Allen Park near Thunderbowl Lanes.

It is awesome to see yet another thing returning after the pandemic. We are getting back to normal more and more each day.
