According to Michigan Wildlife Solutions, if you find a dead deer on your lawn, it should be disposed of or buried immediately. This helps prevent the decaying process and keeps maggots and flies off your property.
I can tell you right now that I’m not burying a dead deer in my yard. Hell, I don't even want to even touch it.
There are some dead animal removal companies in Michigan that you can call, depending on where you live. For example, you can call Critter Control at 1-800-CRITTER to have a dead deer removed.
You can also reach out to the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, they can help arrange for proper disposal.
