24 Big Shows to See at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights in 2025
Even though it doesn’t feel like spring yet in Michigan, summer will be here before you know it.
Before long, we’ll be holding a cold one in hand, singing along with our favorite artists as the sun sets over the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights.
Even though the temperature isn’t quite where it needs to be for an outdoor concert just yet, it’s never too early to start making plans. Thankfully, Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights has a stacked lineup for 2025 with something for everyone, including rock, pop, country, and a few genres in between.
If you've never been to Freedom Hill or it's been a while, try to make it happen this summer. I went last year for the first time in nearly 30 years... seriously. It had been so long that the last time I was there, it was still called Freedom Hill Amphitheater. I couldn’t believe how much it had changed. There isn’t a bad seat in the place. Even if you have lawn tickets, you’ll still be able to see the show without relying solely on the jumbo screen.
Since the early '90s, when the venue first opened, there have been significant renovations and upgrades.
According to their website, in 2016, the venue became the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre after being acquired by the Michigan. Freedom can accommodate up to 7,200 fans.
So, whether you’re a Freedom Hill regular or it’s been a minute, it’s definitely worth checking out this summer. With a killer lineup, great views no matter where you’re sitting, and plenty of food and drinks, you can’t go wrong. Trust me, once you’re there with a cold one in hand, you’ll be glad you made it happen.
