Homies Donuts is making its way to Dearborn, Michigan.

The Canadian-based company is known for unique donut flavors, milkshakes, ice cream, and more.

The new spot is at 23780 Michigan Avenue. According to What Now Detroit, Homies Donuts is set to open in late July or early August. We will keep you updated.

I don't typically travel for sweets, but Homies Donuts may change that.

Will more Homies Donuts be opening in Michigan?

It appears more locations are already in the works. After the Dearborn shop opens, additional locations are planned throughout southeast Michigan.

It's not the best news for those of us in Genesee County or Lapeer County, at least not yet. For now, it appears southeast Michigan will be the focus of the expansion.

That said, there is always hope. If the Dearborn location is a hit, and the additional stores do well, maybe Homies Donuts will eventually make its way to our area. Until then, we will keep our fingers crossed.

What is your go-to donut spot? Locally, my first thoughts are Donna's Donuts on Bristol Road in Flint and B&J's Donuts on Richfield Road in Flint.

Don't sleep on Parlor Doughnuts on Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc either, people rave about this spot too.
