Then, on Wednesday, June 4, we got word that the Hooters on Miller Road in Flint abruptly closed its doors for good. No warning, no official announcement — just a handwritten sign taped to the door saying, “BUSINESS IS CLOSED, THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!!!! HOOTERS OF FLINT.”

According to Mid-Michigan Now, this closure is part of a bigger plan as Hooters shifts toward a franchise-only model, closing several company-owned locations to focus on its strongest markets. Sadly, Flint’s Hooters didn’t make the cut.
