Michigan Orders Eight Online Casinos to Shut Down
Looks like Michigan’s Gaming Control Board is cleaning house again. According to FOX 2 Detroit, the state just ordered eight online casinos to shut down because they aren’t licensed to do business here.
What Online Casinos Are Being Shut Down in Michigan?
We’re talking Aussie Play, CryptoGames, FortuneJack, Hugewin Casino, My Stake Casino, Play at Harry’s Casino, RuneChat, and Slots Garden. If you’ve been playing on any of those sites, it’s probably time to cash out. Get your money while you can.

Why Michigan is Shutting Down Online Casinos?
The Michigan Gaming Control Board says these sites were letting Michiganders gamble illegally. Basically, they were taking bets without permission.
Henry Williams, the MGCB’s executive director, told FOX 2 that while these websites might look legit, they’re anything but. When you’re gambling on unlicensed sites, you’re not just risking your money; you’re basically handing over your personal info to strangers on the internet. Gambling is already risky; you don’t need to throw potential scams into the mix, too.
Michigan Is Watching Online Gambling Closely
This isn’t the first time the MGCB has cracked down on rogue gambling sites. Earlier this year, the board sent out more cease-and-desist letters to other unlicensed operators.
Michigan is definitely doing its part in keeping online gaming safe, legal, and regulated.
If you’re gambling online, make sure it’s through a site approved by the MGCB. Otherwise, you’re rolling the dice in more ways than one.
