Michigan Teacher Accused of Using AI to Create Fake Nude Images of Students

If you thought you’d heard it all…this one’s on another level.

A former middle school teacher in Michigan is now facing some serious charges after police say he used AI to create fake nude images of his own students. Yeah…that’s beyond messed up.

According to MLive, Keith Johnson, a 58-year-old from Three Rivers, was arrested on April 2. He used to work at Legg Middle School, where several of the victims knew him as a woodshop teacher and even a soccer coach.

Police Say Michigan Middle School Teacher Used AI to Create Fake Nude Images

Here’s where it gets really uncomfortable.

Investigators say Johnson allegedly took regular photos of female students and used an AI app to manipulate those images into fake nude pictures. Like I said…this takes things to a whole different level.

These weren’t random kids either. A couple of the victims said they were actually close to him. He had been to their dance recitals, summer camps, and even bought them gifts.

That’s what makes this so disturbing. He had a bond with these kids.

How Police Discovered the AI-Generated Images on the Teacher’s Phone

This whole thing didn’t even start with the AI images.

Police were already investigating Johnson in 2025 for allegedly recording people inside his home without them knowing, including in a bathroom and bedroom. When they took his phone during that case, that’s when they found the AI images.

From there, everything fell apart for this guy, and his sick behavior was finally stopped.

He’s now facing multiple felony charges, including child sexually abusive activity and several counts tied to using a computer to commit those crimes.

It sure didn’t take long for people like this to find a way to turn AI into something seriously disturbing. And yeah…this is exactly the kind of stuff people were worried about.
