Michigan Woman in Handcuffs Escapes Police Car Through Window

If you thought you’d seen it all when it comes to people trying to escape police…think again.

There’s a video going around right now of a Muskegon woman in handcuffs somehow managing to squeeze herself out of the back window of a police car. And I’m not talking about just slipping out…she slithers and contorts her body like a snake, sliding right through the opening.

How Did a Handcuffed Woman Escape a Police Car Window?

Most police vehicles are designed so people can’t do this. Between the cages, locked doors, and limited window openings, it’s supposed to be escape-proof. But here we are.

At one point in the video, you can see her halfway out of the window, still cuffed, just forcing her way through like it’s no big deal. It’s one of those clips where you almost don’t believe what you’re watching at first. I thought it was a fake video when I saw it.

Can You Escape From a Police Car While Handcuffed?

Short answer…you’re not supposed to be able to.

Police cars are built specifically to prevent this exact situation. That’s why this video is blowing up, because it looks like something that shouldn’t be possible.

Obviously, the officer simply left the window down too far and stepped away, but still.

Did the Handcuffed Michigan Woman Get Away After Escaping?

According to what you’ll see in the video below, she actually managed to get away for a few hours. Apparently, she even broke into someone’s home before police were called.

They described the suspect as a woman wearing black…with handcuffs still on. Yep. That’s our girl.

Even though she didn’t exactly get away for good, the fact that she pulled this off in the first place is pretty wild.
