The light displays are starting to pop up already here in Michigan.

Even though we haven't even made it to Thanksgiving yet, the Christmas light displays are being built as we speak. Next Thursday, November 17th, the Wayne County Lightfest will reopen to the public to show off thousands of Christmas lights.

Grab your family, throw them in the family truckster, and make your way to Westland to check out this huge display. The gates will open each night at 6 pm.

When does Wayne County Lightfest take place?

Wayne County Lightfest will be open to the public five days per week starting on Thursday, November 17th at 6 pm. Visitors can check out the light displays Wednesday through Sunday each week through December 24th. Wayne County Lightfest will be open each day from 6 pm until 10 pm, closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

How much is Wayne County Lightfest?

To enjoy the displays at Wayne County Lightfest, the following fees will apply:

  • $5 per Car
  • $20 per Commercial Van or Limousine
  • $25 per Mini Bus
  • $50 per Bus (40 passengers)

Where does Wayne County Lightfest take place?

Wayne County Lightfest takes place at Merriman Hollow Park at 7651 N. Merriman Road in Westland, Michigan. The entrance is on N. Merriman Road between Ann Arbor Trail and Warren Avenue, which is just over two miles south of I-96.

Visitors traveling through Wayne County Lightfest can also make a stop at Perrin Park to drop off a letter to Santa, buy food at the food trucks on-site, and use the restrooms.
