Need a sign for your man cave, driveway, or basement? The City of Fenton is selling off its old street signs this weekend.

If you need a sign that says “Silver Lk Rd,” “Fenway Dr,” or “Ellen St,” you’re in luck. There are also Stop signs, Yield signs, Parking signs, and Speed Limit signs if you want to dress up your driveway. (Do not place signs on public property.)

We Saw the Sign of a Good 'Pun' Opportunity

To get in the spirit, we asked our Pun Department to come up with a few clever (or not-so-clever) ideas ahead of this weekend’s sign sale. (Fenton city officials: feel free to steal any of these.)

Our Pun Department’s Top Picks

  • It’s a sign of the times
  • Give me a sign
  • ‘Stop’ and shop
  • From Main Street to Man Cave
  • Go with the “yield” of your heart
  • No “U-turns” here — it’s a one-way deal
  • Warning: cool stuff ahead
  • Keep right — to the sale
  • Objects in mirror may be older than they appear
  • Caution: awesome signs inside
  • Detour to awesome
