Judge Orders Police to Return Kodak Black’s Unreleased Music, Cash and Jewelry

Police scooped themselves up a lot of Kodak Black's possessions when they arrested him in his home back in January. Now, it looks like they've got no choice but to return them.

On Monday (May 14), The Blast reported that a judge ordered police to return the Florida rapper's cash, jewelry and unreleased music. Kodak has been incarcerated since his arrest for arrest for weapons and child neglect on January 18. Kodak's list of stuff is an interesting one.

On the more mundane end of things there's stuff like his iPhone, iPad, red backpack, and a FedEx envelope filled with bank documents. On the considerably cooler end there's the $2,000 found in the rapper's desk and $23,253 in his safe. Police also confiscated a piece of artwork picturing a person kneeling and the phrase "Kill Bill"—which may have something to do with his name change to Bill K. Kapri earlier this month.

This news comes a little less than a month after Kodak called his return to jail a positive development. "I want to thank the lord for this blessing in disguise which was sending me back to jail January 18 2018," Kodak wrote at the time. "Second I want to thank the lord again for using my advocate Bradford Cohen ( @lawronin ) as an instrument to speak through him and work diligently on my behalf."

Since being behind bars, Kodak has made the most of his time, using some of it to write a book. Can't help but respect it. Kodak is currently serving a year sentence behind bars, and he's got a chance to be home by October.
