Kroger had a great year, and plans to turn $180 Million into three new Michigan stores, creating 1,000 jobs.

Kroger already has a very big Michigan footprint, with 129 stores in the state.  Despite the closures of some Flint area Kroger stores, the company is expanding in other areas of Michigan.

The new stores will be located in Royal Oak, White Lake Township, and Shelby Township.  All areas with significantly higher income averages than the areas of Genesee County where the former stores once stood.

The money will also go toward remodeling 11 existing stores, and six new gas stations.  There were no specific locations given for the remodeling projects.

Maybe they'll decide to put some money into Flint by working on the Kroger that time forgot on Fenton Rd.
