Just a few days out from the release of his Swimming album, Mac Miller unloads a new freestyle for his fans to entertain themselves with. This one is produced by Mac himself and called "Inertia," and it comes along with an in-studio video.

In the visual, we see Mac playing around on a keyboard as he prepares to start recording. After a couple of minutes, we see Mac get busy rapping, delivering some serious bars. "I been a god way before synagogue/Liquor drops used to hit the spot like a cinder block/This is not what you wanted, but it's what you got," spits the Pittsburgh rhymer. He produced the beat himself.

Throughout the rest of the freestyle Mac Miller drops off more mellow, but hard-hitting bars as he gives fans a potential sneak peak of what they can expect from his new LP. This release comes just a little over a week after Mac spoke on his split from Ariana Grande. Despite the drama people have tried to attach to it, he wishes nothing but good for his former girlfriend in light of her seemingly quick engagement to comedian and actor Pete Davidson.

"It's strange. Like, the whole thing is a little strange but it's not negative," Miller said in an interview with Beats 1 Radio's Zane Lowe. "It's just a part of something that's going to continue to help make me who I am. You know, it's all positive energy. I am happy for her and moving forward with her life just as I'm sure she is with me."
