Macklemore and Ryan Lewis 'Thrift Shop' song sells over a million copies of the hit single.  The Seattle rapper is receiving a lot of success from his work in 2012.  While touring the country and performing for small audiences, Macklemore has blown up over a million times.

The song 'Thrift Shop' speaks to not spending all your money on things that don't really matter.  Macklemore raps about his love for buying his clothes from thrift shops and saving big.  Immediately you think the song is silly but it has some social culture perspective worth thinking about.

Today the song 'Thrift Shop' has sold over one million copies.  This past week alone 304,000 copies were sold according to HHNM. The album, 'The Heist,' was a huge success selling over 70k copies in its first week; all independent.

Congrats to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis success with 'Thrift Shop.'  If you haven't heard the song, check it out below.
