Nicki Minaj faces backlash.

On Tuesday afternoon (Nov. 5), the Queen rapper used her Twitter account to speak on the way the media covers her. In a now-deleted tweet, Nicki wrote that she preferred coverage from perceived White media outlets to the coverage she received from perceived Black media outlets.

"What the white ppl post. >>>>>> The blacks only post the few second where I raise my voice to push their narrative. 😉😛😘 #QueenRadio is back in a few days. Stay tuned," Nicki said. The tweet also included a clip of E! Nightly Pop coverage of Nicki's prolonged feud with Wendy Williams.

It didn't take long for critics to raid her mentions with their thoughts on the matter. Some people were quick to inform Minaj that mainstream publications that cater to her White audience tend to post both good and bad things about her. Others were disturbed by the way she referred to Black media as "the Blacks."

"This is coming from the same woman who used #BlackGirlTragic as a hashtag to defend her rap!st/ murd£rer husband this women was never for 'the blacks' only when it’s beneficial," one Twitter user said.

Nicki Minaj, who toured overseas earlier this year, may have scrubbed the tweet from her timeline, but her critics still have something to say about her preferred media outlets. See what others think about the rapper's comments below.
