Pharrell made the happiest song of all time and it brought him to tears during Oprah Winfrey's interview.  While we're enjoying one of the most infectious songs in the past 5 years, it struck an emotional cord with the creator that we wouldn't have expected.

The 'Happy' singer sat down with Oprah to talk about his rise to success and his longevity.  The entire interview aired on Sunday, April 13th as 'Oprah's Prime' television series.  During the interview the super producer opened up about his love life, new album G.I.R.L., and more.

The song 'Happy' didn't get any love from the 'Despicable Me 2' soundtrack until the visual treatment hit the internet. Pharrell told Oprah that the song exploded.

"And then we put out the video on Nov. 21 and all of a sudden … boom."

We're all glad that the song took off because we're all happier because of it.  Pharrell talked more with Oprah but watch the clip of him shedding tears of joy after seeing fans support his hit song.
