Pusha-T may be working closely with Kanye West on his upcoming album Daytona, but the Virginia rapper admits he isn't a fan of Yeezy's political views, specifically his thoughts on President Donald Trump.

Appearing on The Angie Martinez Show on Power 105.1, Push revealed since he's so close to 'Ye, people have been constantly asking him about the rapper's comments. “They ask me specifically because everybody knows my views in regards to politics, especially for this last year: the Hillary campaign, Obama, justice reform, everything, right?” he said. "It's just one of the many things we disagree on. We disagree all the time."

Pusha continued to say he's totally against Kanye's views on Trump and doesn't even want to hear anything in regards to the president. “It’s just a stance that I have. I’m totally against it,” he added. “To me, the prison reform thing is so dear and near to me, right? It’s something I know we can’t even tackle with Trump. So, there’s nothing I even want to hear in regards to [Trump]—a point of view, anything. I’m cool. We’re at a loss already.”

While the rapper doesn't like to discuss Trump, when the conversation arises, Pusha doesn't bite his tongue. “When the conversation comes up, and [Kanye and I are] engaged in conversation, I just say what it is that I feel, regardless of what it’s about. Other than that, no, I’m not just bringing up political conversations. And he knows not to bring up political conversations with me. It’s just not happening.”

Pusha-T's Daytona, his first album since 2015's King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude, is set to release on Friday (May 25) and is already receiving high praise from his peers. According to a leaked text conversation from Def Jam Head of A&R, Steven Victor, producer Mike Dean played the project for Nas, who thinks it's already a classic. Push himself is even hyping up the album, calling it "sooooooooooo good" and saying he believes it's "flawless."
