Quavo, French Montana, Rich Brian and More: Videos This Week
The music video has mattered for quite some time now, whether you watch it on TV, a computer, a phone or anything else. Technology makes it easy to enjoy your favorite videos on the go, but even with that, it's still tough to stay aware of what's dropping. Here at XXL, we decided to help out a bit, corralling the week's videos into one place. Check them out below.
Quavo's much-anticipated solo album, Quavo Huncho, arrived today. The last of the album's initial three singles is "Bubblegum" and now it has a brand new video to go along with it. In it, Quavo and fashion designer Draya Michelle are together in a post-apocalyptic future, in a small apartment. Luckily, Quavo has a VR headset to distract him from his day-to-day lifestyle. As it turns out, the headset allows him to see himself as a sort of rapper/scientist hybrid. VR Quavo is living quite a life.
French Montana knows how to make a hit, so popping back up on the radar every year is normal for him. This time, he's back with the video for "No Stylist," his catchy new single with frequent collaborator, Drake. The visual features plenty of the freshest New York rappers of all time; A$AP Rocky opens the video, Cam'ron appears later and Slick Rick himself rides around in a car with French. Drake joins in on the fun and shows off like he has been all summer.
Rich Brian always garners a lot of attention thanks to his committed fan base. His new video is for the song "History," and in it, he tries to rekindle a former flame. Things don't go so well as he tries his best to make things right at a house party. Things get even sadder at the end of the visual.
