Get Ready to Step Back in Time with These Christmas Commercials from Years Ago
Christmas is a season of traditions, and although the years seem to change a few things here and there, most of those traditions have carried on, except one. Oh, how I long for those gimmicky Christmas commercials that became classic hits back in the day.
I've gotta hand it to Chevrolet this year. They did recently released a commercial that has gone viral for tugging at the heartstrings in a big way, but it's one of the first I've seen in a long time that I instantly loved. What I remember most about growing up were those whimsical, and kind of cheesy at times, commercials.

Get ready for some nostalgia. Remember the snowman riding the Norelco electric shaver over the snow? Or what about those iconic James Garner and Marietta Hartley Polaroid commercials? They were so convincing, everyone thought they were married. Back then our only connection to what was "hot" for the season was all on television. No internet, no social media, just straight out commercial magic.
One of the most iconic, for me at least, were those commercials for McDonald's. I remember a few of my teachers back in elementary school giving us those 50 cents McDonald's Christmas gift certificates during our holiday party. And who could forget one of the cutest commercials ever, Ronald Mcdonald teaches a boy to ice skate with the help of some Bambi-like animated characters. Ahh, those memories.
In search of some of those memories of Christmas's past, I went searching and found a couple of amazing compilations that are sure to take you back to a simpler time, and maybe spark some wonderful memories.
