Shy Glizzy, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Trey Songz Drop “Dope Boy Magic”
Fresh off unveiling the release date for his Quiet Storm EP, Shy Glizzy pulls up with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Trey Songz for a classic dope boy anthem. Appropriately enough, the track features a trap-infused instrumental and the song name, "Dope Boy Magic."
Handling the hook duties, Trigga turns in one of his typically smooth choruses for the track. "Dope boy magic/Dope boy magic/Flip it like it’s gymnastics/Trampoline money, never backflip/Somersault, somersault, yeah/I’ma ball, I’ma ball/I’ma ball, I’ma ball, I’ma ball," he croons.
For his part, Glizzy lets everyone know that, growing clout aside, he's still more street than he is anything else. "Girl what your name is/Tell me who you came with/Ain’t nothin’ like none of these industry cats, street nigga, I’m dangerous," he spits on the track.
A Boogie, who collaborated with Trigga on his debut album, The Bigger Artist, echoes Glizzy's sentiment, but he's focused a bit more on the celeb glory.
"I’m a star, I’m a star, let the bros go blast him/Got they draws on the floor when the boy walk past ‘em/They throw bras at a nigga ah, they want my shows for the passion/I’m a Bronx reppin’ nigga ah, they already know what I’m jackin’," spits A Boogie, who just appeared on Chief Keef's Dedication track, "Glory Bridge."
Quiet Storm drops on Dec. 12. Check out "Dope Boy Magic" below.
