Chances are strong that every day is a weed holiday for a celebrated tokers Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg, but today, on ’4/20 Day,’ they teamed up — along with country stars Kris Kristofferson and Jamey Johnson — to release ‘Roll me Up,’ an ode to marijuana’s unofficial holiday.

The song is a collaboration in every sense of the word. In fact, it finds Snoop Dogg not tacking on a typical rap verse to a Willie Nelson tune, but instead singing along with him. At times it sounds like a country-fried duet.

Channeling his inner good ol’ boy, Snoop sings: “Call my friends and tell em, there’s a party come on by/ Now just roll me up and smoke me when I die…. I didn’t come here and I ain’t leavin, so don’t sit around and cry/ Just roll me up and smoke me when I die.”

This is not the first time Nelson has joined forces with Snoop Dogg. The pair famously collaborated on ‘My Medicine,’ off the rapper’s 2008 LP, ‘Ego Trippin’.’ That tune paid homage to another legendary music figure — Johnny Cash — and featured Everlast on guitar.

‘Roll Me Up’ is streaming for free (see below), and curiously features a marijuana joint being burned to its embers as the song plays. Clever.
