The original The Karate Kid is one of those seemingly untouchable slices of ‘80s nostalgia. Everyone above a certain age has a soft spot for it. It has effortlessly merged with general pop culture, with characters like Mr. Miyagi and lines like “Wax on, wax off” existing outside of the film that created them. It’s a touchstone … but what if it’s a touchstone that we have been misunderstanding for the past 31 years? What if Ralph Macchio’s Daniel isn’t the hero of the film, but actually – dun dun DUN – the real bad guy?

The Karate Kid that fell into his toy box has gone viral. Not sure if this really happened or not, because you don't actually see him go in. The YouTube channel says: 'My wife heard him calling for her from his room before heading to Karate. 5 years old. Classic Akiva.' Check out the hilarious video below:

There is a scene in the movie 'Bloodsport' where Jean Claude Van-Damme breaks a brick and the entire room is impressed.  Except for one man who says, "Very good, but brick no hit back!" He has obviously never watched the video below.

I don't know what it was about the 80's, but it was perfectly acceptable to be as cheesy as you could. The Karate Rap is a perfect example of this.  The only thing this is missing is Jean Claude Van Damme dancing around in the background.
