Hi, friends! Can you tell us where the Dora the Explorer movie is hiding? Did you say, “In Michael Bay’s bank account”? Very good! …But also: What?! Michael Bay, purveyor of glistening biceps, incomprehensible robo-action and explosives, is producing a a live-action (emphasis on ACTION, am I right) movie based on the popular animated series. You know, for kids.

With the recent announcement that Transformers: The Last Knight would be hitting theaters two days earlier  —  moving from Friday, June 23 to Wednesday, June 21  —  fans are closer than ever to seeing their favorite Autobots (and humans) throw down against a reluctantly evil Optimus Prime. This is the summer of heel turns by beloved franchise characters; first we saw Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto betray his family in The Fate of the Furious, and now we’re counting down the days until Optimus Prime stabs Bumblebee in the face. Rough summer for heroes, it would seem.

The Transformers have always been sneaky little miscreants. Their whole thing is that they’re “robots in disguise,” masquerading as cars or trucks or dinosaurs to better blend in with their surroundings. We know that they’ve been coming to Earth for a while now, and the new Transformers: The Last Knight promises to tell us why. The new tease for a trailer coming on Wednesday shows us that Anthony Hopkins may know the answer.

Who is the best Transformer? Correct, it’s Bumblebee. The trusty little Camaro who communicates half in speech and half with the assistance of sound bites from his radio is getting his own spinoff, and Paramount is looking at a release date sometime in 2018. Michael Bay, who is now in the process of choosing which Transformers story to do next, recently revealed that Bumblebee is going to be a prequel.

It’s big, it’s loud, it’s here: feast your eyes on the first trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight! After a truly weird production period that involved dragons, King Arthur, igniting the ire of British vets by dressing up Winston Churchill’s childhood home as a Nazi headquarters, and the usual level of Bayhem, we finally have our very first glimpse of the fifth installment in the inexplicably popular franchise.

It seems like the only thing Michael Bay loves more than figuring out the biggest, most bonkers special effects for his movies, is putting together behind-the-scenes videos of those bonkers special effects during filming for all of his fans to enjoy...

Transformers: The Last Knight, the latest in the Hasbro franchise, has been in production for a while, but Michael Bay and co. have mostly kept all plot details under wraps. One rumor made its way to the surface a few months ago, but it wasn't until today that it was pretty much confirmed. This could get a little spoiler-y, so proceed at your own risk.

Michael Bay’s next installment in the Transformers franchise doesn’t hit theaters until next June, but the director hasn’t been shy about sharing videos and high quality promo photos from the set of The Last Knight. Although he’s yet to reveal any specific plot details, Bay has kept fans up to date with the growing roster of characters, which now includes a Decepticon you might remember from the original Transformers cartoon series.

In addition to recent images revealing upgrades for Bumblebee and Barricade, Michael Bay has unveiled another look at a robot character from Transformers: The Last Knight — but this isn’t one you’ve seen before. The latest photo reveals a brand new, original Autobot created specifically for the upcoming sequel, and he’s got a pretty adorable name.

It looks like Bumblebee is getting a bit of a makeover for the new Transformers sequel — not that it’s the first time. The friendly Autobot capable of stealthily upgrading his wheels has traded in his 2014 Camaro for a newer model, though he’s still sporting his signature colors, of course. Michael Bay revealed Bumblebee’s new look over the weekend, and if you’re a fan of cars — or of Transformers — then you’ll probably want to take a look.

The only constants in this world are death, taxes, and Megatron returning from the dead for another Transformers movie.
