Mississippi weatherman, Matt Laubhan, wasn't about to take any chances with his crew when he noticed that a twister was headed for the station.

Tornadoes and thunderstorms rampaged through the Midwest today, killing several people in Illinois and leaving a path of destruction.

Footage has surfaced of the Tornado that touched down in southern Genesee County last night, and daybreak is revealing just how much damage the storm actually did.

Flint and Genesee County were in the middle of a very violent storm system last night that reportedly saw numerous tornado touchdowns, and caused plenty of damage.

Officials in Oklahoma have lowered the number of deaths suffered to 24 in the massive tornado that swept through the town of Moore Monday night. Originally, the figure had been as high as 51, probably a result of double-counting.

A massive tornado touched down just south of Oklahoma City on Monday, killing dozens. At least seven of those killed were students at Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore. The twister, which measured 2 miles at one point, has been given a preliminary classification of an EF-4 tornado (winds of 166 to 200 mph), according to weather officials.

UPDATE Saturday 6:15 a.m. EST: The number of reported fatalities is at least five, with another 71 injuries caused by what authorities say are a total of 17 tornadoes ripping through the Midwest on Friday.

Major tornadoes ripped through the Dallas-Fort Worth area yesterday wreaking havoc wherever they touched down. The twisters canceled most all air travel and tore down homes, but the most dramatic footage came when one touched down at a truck stop.
