Troy Davis

Troy Davis was executed in Jackson Georgia shortly after 11pm on September 21st. Davis was convicted of murdering a security guard in 1998, and received the death penalty.  Since his conviction massive amounts of evidence has come forward to show that he may not be guilty. Despite a petition signed by 1,000,000 people and numerous supporters, the Supreme Court denied a stay of execution.
