The days of big 'Harley' riding guys being the only people with tattoos are definitely at an end according to a new study.

It turns out that more women have tattoos now than men, and most of them could care less what you think of them.

The new show "Best Ink" and Lightspeed Research asked just over 1000 people across the US about their body art, and it turned out 59 percent of women have tattoos compared to 41 percent of men.

The survey found that 89 percent of those people who had tattoos said they did not care if people disproved of their body ink and 46 percent said they'd proudly show their tattoo to their bosses at work.

40 percent of women made the tattoo experience a shared one, turning it into a girls outing.  I personally think the numbers are a little low on both ends, but it's no surprise that women outnumber men.
