The majority of Michiganders support the right to grow, buy and use marijuana without interference from law enforcement.

Earlier this week, a new Michigan Radio Poll found that 56 percent of the population now believes that the state should tax and regulate a cannabis industry in a manner similar to what is currently happening in Colorado.

Although we typically do not put much stock in the polls, the latest survey does provide a basic gauge for where the state’s voters currently stand with the issue of legalizing a cannabis industry. As most of you know, several groups are now collecting signatures for their respective petitions in hopes of earning a spot on the ballot in 2016.

As it stands, MILegalize seems to be the most likely group to get this done. Learn more about their initiative here.
